PLT Innovations AG is a group company of Tanovis AG and focused on the use of Lignins in industrial applications. 

Tanovis has been established in 2017 and did acquire the production, the products and the team of Greenvalue. It’s Protobind® products are well known and have been widely used in research and development by institutes, universities and companies and are commercially used in a variety of applications. 

Having pioneered the extraction of different types of lignins, Tanovis and its team, have more than 15 years of experience in turning biomass into valuable products. We supply markets with innovative products based on annual plants and other lignocellulosic biomass. Tanovis, through its subsidiaries is dedicated to providing its customers with novel products and technical support enhancing their quality and environmental requirements.

"PLT Innovations" will further pave the way to make lignin available for a variety of applications that meet today's requirements such as circular economy or eco-friendly properties.

CO2 emissions concern and limited fossil-based sources are the main driving forces to move towards bio-based materials. Arthur d’Little foresees a 17 percent CAGR growth between 2020 and 2030 for bio-based plastics compared to just 3.2 percent for conventional plastic. 

Our speciality product, lignin, is a biopolymer with specific features to utilise in plenty of applications, where the phenolic monomers afford high mechanical modulus, cross-linking characteristics, antioxidant properties, etc. Not only from an economic standpoint, but also from environmentally friendly aspect, lignin is an attractive renewable source for many industries.
